The Dead Sea
On Thursday and Friday my boyfriend and I went to the Dead Sea for a two day trip.

I floated in it, which was a strange experience. Somehow, though, I'd expected to float even more easily than I did. It was nice nonetheless.

We also went to a beautiful nature reserve where we went hiking in the mountains. There were also natural springs and waterfalls there. I'd never seen anything like it before - it seemed almost magical.

Cute, little animals like this one were running around everywhere.
As well as going hiking and floating in the dead sea, we also had a mud bath - which was fun, but we forgot to take pictures of it.

Nephew?
Today I've been taking care of my sort of nephew - my boyfriend's sister's child. I'm not quite sure when someone becomes your nephew or niece when they're not one of your siblings' children. Is it only when you're married, or can you also be an aunt if you've been with your boyfriend or girlfriend for a long time? I really don't know. Anyway, I took care of him today together with his nanny, and it was really delightful since he is such a sweet and funny child. He looks a bit like a girl, though, as his hair is so long and he's wearing a clip in it to keep it away from his face.

Tomorrow I'm going to the Dead Sea for two days, and I'm extremely excited about that.

With my boyfriend again.
I've been in Israel, with my boyfriend, for two two days now and it's lovely. First of all because I get to be with him again, secondly because the weather is great, and thirdly because the food is excellent.
This is what I wore today, taken in my boyfriend's garden:

Dress from Asos, and belt from H&M.
And, as promised, this is what I bought in Oslo. A gray, cute skirt and a black dress, both from Zara.

A day with my sister.
Right now I'm sitting at the airport getting ready to continue the second lag of my journey. Today was spent in Oslo visiting my sister, which was really very nice. We had breakfast together, went to the city centre and did some shopping (mostly I did, and I'll show you pictures of my purchases tomorrow maybe), and then had dinner in an Indian restaurant. I can't get enough of Indian food. Though, most of all we chatted lots and lots. There were just endless amounts of things to talk about as we hadn't seen each other in so long (even if we do talk on the phone now and then).

Dreaming of sunshine.
It's so extremely cold outside... I really cannot wait 'till Sunday when I'll be in Israel and it'll hopefully be warm. I'm leaving on Friday, as I'm going to stop over to stay with my sister who studies in Oslo for a day. I haven't seen her since August so that should be lovely. That reminds me that I haven't started packing yet. I'm so bad at that - I always do it in the last minute and end up forgetting a thing, or four.
What I wore today - inside and outside. Since I went to the city centre to buy a few things I decided to just take pictures in a dressing room. They usually have good lighting, and the mirrors are clean. Soon I'm going to take some outdoor pictures again, which are by far a lot nicer.

Before I forget, I was given a lovely award by both Mirthe and Anna.

even more friendships are propagated.
Please give more attention to these writers!

and include this clever-written text into the body of their award.
I'm passing this on to these eight bloggers: Blair, Q's daydream, Britney, Char and Sea, Lemon drops and tea, Kate and Natalia, Lavender and Electrictea
Oh, and I was tagged by Raspberry Jam and Maple Syrup to write six delightful smiles, and six delightful bloggers.

A pleasant weekend.
Despite working this weekend, I've had quite a nice weekend anyway.
On Saturday I helped my mum bake gingerbread cookies in different shapes.

I don't really celebrate Christmas anymore (and I'm also going away, and I'll be celebrating Hanukkah in Israel with my boyfriend instead), but homemade gingerbread cookies are just irresistible.
Aaaand, I got a sewing machine from my parents. I suppose as sort of a Christmas present since I won't be home during it, and they thought I should have a present, too, since my siblings will get some. I've been wanting to learn to sew my own clothes for quite some time, so I'm very happy about it. Now all I need to do is learn how to actually operate it.

Last, but not least, the postman brought a lovely surprise. A swimsuit that has such a nice retro silhouette. It's from Juicy Couture, which I've always looked upon as a bimbo-like brand, for some reason. But my new swimsuit is wonderful, and it's coming with me to bathe in the Dead Sea.

A little break
My paper is due tomorrow, and my apartment is a mess. There are papers and books strewn everywhere, and it doesn't surprise me the least - it happens every time. I wish I would be able to keep things tidier when I'm in the middle of writing assignments since I despise living in such a mess. Ah, it shall be lovely to be done and have time to clean, give my dog a bath, visit my grandmother, start packing and planning for my holiday in a little more than a week (!), maybe see some friends, and catch up on other things I've neglected.
As you can see I ended up with the second striped top. I don't regret it! This was taken in just about the only corner of my apartment that wasn't terribly untidy.

Everything is H&M, except for the tights which I believe are from Urban Outfitters.
