Green leaves.

Today was an exceptionally beautiful day, and I spent some of it going for a walk with my dog in the forest.

Midnight

I'm in love - with my new Marc by Marc Jacobs Faridah bag. It's perfect. This is my first designer bag, and I couldn't be happier about it. It cost me a lot less than it would have buying it in a shop (hurray for a weak dollar), and I wasn't charged with customs duty either.

Oh, it's so beautiful. I'm just afraid of getting it scratched or something.

Tagged!

I was tagged by the lovely Mandy from Soir de fete

The Rules: "List 7 songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, wether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now, shaping your spring. Post these instructions with your 7 songs, then tag 7 people to see what they're listening to.

Where do you go to my lovely - Peter Sarstedt. I've loved this song ever since I heard it in the movie 'The Darjeeling Limited'. It's so beautiful, and it's also the source for the name of my blog.

Every you and every me - Placebo. I recently rediscovered this song, and I love it. Especially the melody.

Je n'aime que toi - Ludivine Sagnier, Louis Garrel, Clotilde Hesme. It's French, and wonderful.

Poses - Rufus Wainwright. He's one of my favourite artists, and this is a beautiful song to listen to. It's so calm, and dream-like.

Almost Happy - K's Choice. This song is quite sad, but also makes you think, and ponder. And the melody is wonderful. I'm attracted to songs with pretty melodies.

You're gorgeous - Babybird. This is a song I like at the moment. It's basically a nice summer song.

Speeding Cars - Imogen Heap. This is just a song I've always liked a lot. Again, because of the dream like melody.

I'm tagging Carrie, Raquel, Marie, Sarah, Linda, Kirsty and Rissa.

Red buttons.

Today was a really nice day - aside from the fact that I slept way too long (ahem, untill one pm). I've only been doing evening shifts at work this week, and apparently shifting my own daily rhythm as well, going to bed in the wee hours and getting up at noon, or even past noon. I hope I can get back on track soon.
Nevertheless, I went to see a friend I hadn't seen in a while who has an adorable four-month-old daughter. I can't help wanting a baby of my own when I see extremely cute babies.

The Thoughts That Surround You

Today the weather was strange - cloudy, but quite warm. Last week it was sunny, but rather cold. Makes me wonder if we'll ever have a real sunny and warm summer day. I wore the new top I bought yesterday, today.

The top, jacket and necklace are from H&M, the skirt is vintage, and the shoes are from Bronx.

Checks, stripes and polkadots.

Yesterday I bought some new clothes - which is probably not the most advisable cure for a lack of inspiration and creativity, but at least it's one that works fast.

I got a pair of checked shorts from H&M, because they looked old-fashioned, and a polkadotted top from H&M. But really, maybe I should stop buying things with polkadots since I have far too many clothes with them now - though somehow, I'm magically attracted to them. I will however have to count how many pieces of clothing I have with them, I think...

I also bought two pantyhoses from Noa Noa. Expensive, yes, but extremely good quality. And they are also very pretty!

What should you do when you have a closet full of clothes, but nothing to wear? When every piece of clothing feels like blah, and you can't think of ways to combine any of it? When all you see is single pieces of clothing, and you feel no inspiration whatsoever to put together an outfit?
What are you to do when you feel like this?

I feel just like that right now, and if you haven't felt like that before, let me just tell you that it is a very unpleasant feeling.

Certainly, you don't always want to go out and buy new clothes to have something to wear, since you already have so much. How do you find new ways to use what you already have?
If you ever feel this way, how do you find your inspiration to put together a new outfit?

Repetto, Repetto.

These are my new Repetto shoes I bought on Ebay. Unfortunately they are a litte too big... I was told that they run small so I got a size bigger than what I usually wear. Though I suppose I'll just stuff something in them and they would fit okay. Anyway, I imagined I'd be more pleased with them than I am... I like them a lot, but I think my expectations were too high. Maybe it's the wrong colour? I don't know.

Today.

I haven't done a today's outfit post here in a long time (or have I ever? I think I have...), so I thought it was time for one.

As a day outfit this is maybe too dressed up, but I never wear the dress I am wearing, so I decided to go ahead. Oh, and excuse the grumpy look on my face (the sun was too bright).

Dress from American Apparel, cardigan from Mango, shoes from Irregular Choice.

Oh, and I got a note in the post today that a pair of Repetto shoes I had bought on ebay could be picked up from the post office. I'm going to do that in a bit. I'm a little worried that they might not be as nice as they seemed, or that they might not fit... Fingers crossed.

I've been tagged!

I'm quite excited as this is the first time I've been tagged, and by Carrie from Wishwishwish.
So, here goes:

*What were you doing 10 years ago?
10 years ago I was thirteen, and a huge Hanson fan (I still like them, I'm just not crazy), and I spent most of my time daydreaming about Taylor and how I'd somehow magically manage to end up with him, and saving money to be able to go to a concert if one ever came along. It really amuses me to think about how my mind worked back then. Other than that, I went to school, and hung out with friends.

*What are 5 things on your to-do list today?
It's 20:42 now, so not much left of the day, so I'll do tomorrow:
1. Go to the gym.
2. Try to write a blog entry (the internet's down at my place so I'd have to go somewhere else to do it, which is a hassle).
3. Clean up some more in my flat.
4. Go to work.
5. Call a friend I haven't talked to in a long time.

*Snacks you enjoy
I'm trying to eat healthier because lately I haven't really... I have a weakness for chocolate though, preferrably dark dark chocolate. I also like ice-cream a lot, and it annoys me that we don't get Ben&Jerry's in Norway (but perhaps that's for the better so that I'll stay away from it for now).

*Places you have lived
When I was 18, almost 19, I moved to Frankfurt in Germany for a year to work as a volunteer in an after-school activity centre, and after that I lived in Heidelberg (also in Germany) for two years, where I studied. Other than that I've lived in Tromsø in Northern Norway all my life - where I also live now. I don't see myself living here in the future though.

*Things you would do if you were a billionnaire
First and foremost, I'd buy myself a house or an apartment somewhere great (maybe in Paris or something... as well as in the place I'd be living) and decorate it. I would also travel to all the places I want to go to -especially destinations outside Europe, which I haven't really been to such as Australia, NZ, Japan, South Korea, India, Vietnam, Fiji, Cape Verde, South Africa, Madagascar, USA, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Brazil...
I'd also build up my wardrobe so that I'd be complete.

*People you want to know more about
I don't know what I'm supposed to say here, a blogger or any kind of person? At any rate, I'm sorry, but my mind is blank for some reason at the moment... so I can't really say anyone.

I'm tagging It's Insanity and Atsuii to do this too.

New clothes.

I am back home in Norway now, missing my boyfriend... it's going to be quite some time until the next time we see each other again. Oh well... time will pass sooner than I know, I know.

Anyway, I feel that this blog has lacked fashion related topics, so this post will be more about that - more precisely about clothes that I bought in Munich.

The tee is from AA, the skirt from H&M young, and the shoes from a shoe shop I cannot remember the name of. A close up on the shoes here:

I also got another pair of shoes, from the same shop that I can't remember the name of, which I really love. They remind me of a pair of miu miu (which were also copied by forever21), and they are surprisingly comfortable to walk in for someone who isn't all that used to heels.

I also got this dress, from H&M.

And my boyfriend gave me a cute little squirrel.

Here I am, wearing the dress, above. Not a very flattering picture of myself, but I wanted to show a picture of me and my boyfriend.

Random recent pictures.

I thought I'd share some more pictures from recent trips and random pictures from my little holiday at my boyfriends... most of the pictures are nature/animals and such because I really don't like the way I look in most pictures from now of me. I've been eating too much junk (ice cream everyday!) and I can see that I am gaining weight. Ugh... When I come home I'm going to sit down and read 'Skinny Bitch' yet again, and become a vegan again (I'm just a vegetarian now) because last time I read it I think it helped me lose weight. Anyway, enough of that...

The first set of pictures are from 'Neuschwanstein' (fairy tale castle, the one the Disney castle is modelled after), which was beautiful, but by no means as impressive as it's made out to be. I'd say the nature surrounding it was better.

This picture is from the other trip we had (see previous post), that was taken with my boyfriend's camera.

And this one is from a biking trip a few days ago...

... where we came across the strangest thing. I think these animals are deer - at least that's what they look like to me, but they were kept as domestic animals. I find that absurd. I thought deer were always wild. They were nevertheless really cute, and fun to feed.

Me, and a friend out in Munich.

This is also from Munich.

And some adorable swan ducklings in a park...
