Choices.

A few days ago I came across these wonderful bow hair clips (with a net) from Johnny Loves Rosie at Asos. I want one so badly, but the Asos shipping rates are outrageous, so I don't think I will. Hopefully someone will get to wear these well!

Oh, and I've been looking for a black and white stripe top for ages, and I think I've finally found two good candidates at H&M.

This one is nice as it's quite stretchy, and it has some cute buttons on one of the shoulders. However, the quality seems poorer than the other one.

DSC03451I like this one since it seems like the quality is quite good, and it has buttons on the sleeves. I'm not sure how I feel about the wide black stripe at the sleeves and neck... but I think I like it. I just don't know if this one would work as well underneath dresses as the other one. Nevertheless, this is the one I think I'm slightly leaning towards. Which one do you prefer?

Writing.

I've finally spent some time on my assignment about my work experience during the last few days, and it feels good to be almost done with it. Tomorrow I'm going to have a guidance session with one of my teachers, which I feel sort of nervous about.

This is what I wore today. The cardigan is probably one of my favourites, and although I've had it for four years and it's H&M, it's excellent quality. Oh, and sorry about the dirty mirror!

New bag, new tag.

First of all I apologize for the lack of updates lately. When I have a lot to do (university assignment), I find it really difficult to concentrate on other things and end up neglecting them - and I suppose that's what I've been doing. I'm still not done for now, but I'll try to squeeze in a few more updates.

Nevertheless, I got a new bag. I talked about this bag (and some in other colours a few posts ago), which reminds me of an old school bag, and I decided to get one. I am really pleased with it as it fits my laptop and other things perfectly. I just wish it looked a bit 'older' somehow, but perhaps it's possible to customize it a little. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do that?

While trying to work hard (I'm unfortunately very bad at concentrating) on my assignment this weekend I started browsing Australian ebay for vintage clothing, and I discovered that so many pretty vintage clothes are sold there - especially dresses. Just thought I'd share that if anyone is interested.

Finally, I was tagged by the inspirational The Valentine Journals to write the first and only word I can think of to the following questions;

Where is your mobile phone? Table.
Where is your significant other? Israel.
Your hair colour? Blonde.
Your mother? Mother.
Your father: Father.
Your favourite thing? Travelling.
Your dream last night? Horrible.
Your dream goal? -
The room your in? Living room.
Your hobby? Films.
Your fear? Pigeons.
Where do you want to be in 6 years? Stockholm.
Where were you last night? Working.
What you're not? Energetic.
One of your wish-list items? DSLR
Where you grew up? Tromsø.
The last thing you did? Flossed.
What are you wearing? Clothes.
Your TV? Old.
Your pets? Here.
Your computer? Macbook.
Your mood? Restless.
Missing someone? Yes.
Your car? None.
Something you're not wearing? Jewellery.
Favourite shop? Topshop.
Your summer? Nice.
Love someone? Yes.
Your favourite colour? Green.
When is the last time you laughed? Today.
When is the last time you cried? Weeks.

This tag didn't say to tag anyone so I am tagging anyone who wants to do this!

White like snow.

A few days ago I decided to wear an all white outfit - to match the snow.

DSC03400DSC03402DSC03394DSC03389DSC03396

Dress; Traffic People, cardigan; H&M, gloves; Grandmother's, booties; Dinsko, hat; H&M.

On another note, I was given the Kreativ Blogger award by the ever so sweet Q's Daydream. Thanks so much!

Six things that make me happy.

  • Travelling, and discovering new places. I don't like the travel itself so much since I tend to be a bit afraid of flying, although train travelling is great ( However, I almost never get to do that as we have no trains around here). I really enjoy buying magazines and books to take with me, as well as making some nice food to take with me.

  • Watching films. I have quite a large film collection myself, and I can borrow movies from the library for free as well. I love sitting down with a cup of tea and watch films in the evenings.

  • Money. That might sound a bit shallow, but whenever I earn a lot of money, or manage to save a lot, it lifts my mood instantly, and the opposite brings me down.

  • My boyfriend. We don't meet very often as we live very far apart, so I suppose that makes each meeting a little more special.

  • Having a day completely off, with no obligations whatsoever. It feels like I only get one of those days once in a blue moon, but when I do, I love looking through old albums, old letters, old magazines, sorting through my closet... it really takes all day, but it's such a wonderful thing to do, which brings back so many nice memories.

  • Getting letters or packages in the post. There's nothing better than that.

The rules:

-List six things that make you happy.

-Pass the award on to 6 more kreativ bloggers.

-Link back to the person who gave you the award.

-Link to the people you are passing it on to and leave them a comment to let them know.

New week, lots to do.

I've just realized that I forgot (or neglected) to do any work on my thesis due in the beginning of December this weekend. I'm quite bad at being structured and diciplined when it comes to university work, and always end up doing most of it in the last minute. Does anyone know how to be better at that? Nevertheless, I must do some this week. My weekend was instead spent visiting my Grandmother, cooking, watching films and tv, and helping my little sister colouring her hair.
On Saturday I wore this:

Cardigan; H&M, dress; Dahlia's, shawl; used to belong to my Grandmother, tights; Noa Noa, boots; thirfted.

Coldness.

It was so cold outside today, like January cold, it seems. I detest it. Especially since I have to be outside quite a lot, usually. I wore this yesterday when it wasn't quite as cold - underneath my winter coat which I took off for a few minutes to take these pictures.DSC03354DSC03362

Blazer and skirt; thrifted, shirt; Vero Moda and hair bow; Topshop.

Today.

I went to the hairdresser today to get rid of my dark roots and to get a little haircut. Unfortunately, my roots seem to have turned sort of strawberry blonde, which is not bad in itself, but it doesn't look even with the rest of my hair colour...   that was quite annoying. I'm going to see if it would help any to wash my hair with silver shampoo a few times, and if not I'm going back to get it fixed.

This is what I wore:

Dress and tights from H&M and a leotard from American Apparel.

On the 21st, in ten days, the polar nights begin here, which means the sun won't be visible for two months. I quite dread that every year since I need real daylight and sunshine, and all the darkness makes me rather gloomy. Luckily I'm going away on a holiday for three weeks in December where I suppose I'll get my dose of sunshine. Anyway, on Sunday the weather was really nice, and sunny as you can see, which is good to get a lot of before it sets in.

Weekend.

After seven weeks of work experience at a school, I'm done, and it feels really good. It was a very exciting experience that I enjoyed a lot, but it feels so great to go back to a less tighter schedule at university.
This weekend, apart from working, I'm going to watch some films I borrowed from the library.

DSC03313
The Russian Dolls (Les Poupées Russes) 8 Femmes, Rebel Without a Cause & Oliver Twist.

Eat cauliflower soup (that I actually made today, but there's lots left).

And go to the gym. Hopefully.

On another note, I've fallen in love with this bag that looks like an old school bag. I thought it would be perfect to carry my laptop in it... I just don't know which colour to choose.

A dress by Alix.

This weekend I received a package with a dress I had ordered which is designed by Alix, the girl who runs the Cherryblossomgirl blog. I was more than thrilled. I love the colour, shape, and the pretty collar of the dress... and couldn't be happier that I decided to buy it. So, while taking my dog for a walk in the woods I decided to take some pictures too - in the cold, cold snowy weather.

DSC03297DSC03296DSC03292

It started snowing here a few days ago, and I can't say I'm excited by that. First of all because I don't have any 'winter shoes'. All my boots are so slippery underneath, and I can't possibly bring myself to wear the kind of boots or shoes other people tell me I should wear. It would just clash completely with my style to wear some sort of sporty shoes, and I'd feel ugly, so I really must think of another solution.

Braids and sunsets.

Hello. A couple of days ago I braided my hair in a hippyish sort of braid around my head, which was surprisingly easy to do, and kept the hair away from my face. I just started doing a French braid across my forehead and secured it along the backside of my head by adding a few hair strands into it so that it would stay put.

I wore this:

Skirt; H&M, top; Zara, tights; Vero Moda.

I thought I'd also add some photos I took outside the other day.
