The ferry boat coat.

Say hello to my new Nanette Lepore coat!

Words cannot describe how much I adore it, just look at the pretty details:

And, I can wear it closed with a brooch, or open:

Tomorrow I'm off to England to visit my friend C.Elizabeth, and that's going to be just wonderful, I'm sure! I'm going to take my computer with me and will try to do some blogging while I'm there, but sadly I don't know if I'll have enough time replying to all your comments (you should just know how much I appreciate every single one of them!) - so if I don't, I'll make up for it when I get back again.

Yellow...

Yellow outfit

Hello everyone,
sorry about the long absence. I've been studying for my exam that I had today, and I decided that the only way I could devote myself completely to studying, I had to lay off blogging for a little bit. Nevertheless, I'm back now, and happy that my summer holiday's now started (although I do have to start thinking about my master thesis) - which will hopefully be great. How have all of you been doing?

This is what I wore on Saturday:

Red hair inspiration.

From Torpore

Lately I've been quite fascinated with these beautiful pictures I've come across on flickr - of  redheaded girls. Red hair is so lovely, and so intriguing. These pictures also make me long for red hair myself, to be frank. However, I think I'm going to keep my blonde hair for a little while longer...

Mustard yellow, black and soft pink...

... is a really wonderful colour combination, in my opinion, and those are also the colours my outfit today composes of.

My new 40s dress.

I wore this vintage dress from the 40s yesterday - one I recently won on ebay. I think it's so pretty with the lace collar and the lace on the sleeves.

In my backyard.

red, black, white 03
Hello,
I am sorry for neglecting my blog for nearly a week, but I've been rather busy with a conference, finishing a paper and enjoying the lovely weather we had. But now I'm back, for the time being!
I took these pictures this afternoon in my backyard - it's now cloudy and rainy and not pretty and sunny as it has been for days and days.

Top and tights from H&M, skirt from Gina Tricot, hair piece from Bianco and boots from Bronx.

I also thought I'd show you my national costume I wore on Sunday - Norway's constitution day.

Also, I received two wonderful awards.

Thank you so much, dearies! I'm passing these on to whoever wants them... I'm too tired to tag anyone now.

Pretty bows.

Pretty bows
A few days ago I bought these ever so pretty bows from Bianco, that I thought I'd show you. I'm thinking of going back and buying more colours, perhaps.

On another note, I was tagged by the lovely Honey Bunny in Wonderland.

What is your current obsession?
Even if I wish it wasn't, studying for my exam in June. Other than that, working out.

What is your weirdest obsession?
I have different things I obsess about at different times, then the obsession just dies. Right now, as silly as it sounds, the future.

What are you wearing today?
A gingham dress, white cardigan and some lace tights.

What's for dinner?
Pasta, I suppose. Preferably with pesto if I succeed making it on my own.

What's the last thing you bought?
Some food.

What are you listening to right now?
The sound of cars outside my window.

What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Ben and Jerry's half baked or fossil fuel.

What do you think about the person who tagged you?
She's wonderful, with an impressive sense of style which is never boring.

If you could have a house totally paid for, fully furnished anywhere in the world, where would you like it to be?
Maybe somewhere in the south of France, or in Italy - on the countryside. It would be a wonderful getaway.

What's your must have piece for summer?
A pretty boater hat or a sunhat. Or any hat that would suit me.

If you could go anywhere in the world for next hour, where would you go?
Israel.

Which language do you want to learn?
I want to know Hebrew better, then I also want to learn French, Italian, and Dutch. And I'd like to brush up on my Russian.

What's your favorite quote?
I'm not much of a quotes-person, sadly.

Who do you want to meet right now?
My boyfriend.

What is your favorite color?
Green. In clothing, reds, dark blues, white, black, green, and also soft pastel colours.

What is your favorite piece of clothing in your own closet?
My prettiest dresses.

What is your dream job?
Maybe something within fashion, or photography, which is so far from the direction I am actually going in.

What's your favourite magazine?
Lula.

If you had $100 now, what would you spend it on?
Facial treatment, or spa.

Favorite designer?
Marc Jacobs. Sonia Rykiel, Chloé, By Malene Birger...

What do you consider a fashion faux pas?
Jean skirts. I seriously cannot stand them.

Do you admire anyone's style?
Not so much celebrities (although Zooey Deschanel is an exception) since I am more inspired by bloggers with wonderful style.

Describe your personal style?
Feminine, vintage or retro and girly.

What are you going to do after this?
Make dinner.

What are your favourite movies?
Amelie, Garden State, Leon, the Pianist, the Notebook, the Darjeeling Limited, the Royal Tennenbaums, Big Fish, Atonement, Marie Antoinette, the Painted Veil, Les Chansons d'Amour, Les Choristes, Annie, Catch me if you can, V for Vendetta, Closer, Schindler's List, Memoirs of a Geisha, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Forrest Gump, Alice in Wonderland...

What's your favourite fruit?
Banana, blueberry, orange.

What inspires you?
To put it short, everything around me. Nature, the weather, magazines, films, people, blogs...

The old farm

DSC05200

There is an old, abandoned farm where I live (technically now belonging to the museum though), which I think is really very charming and pretty. I often go for walks there.

There is also a deep forest behind it.
