Red shoes in the snow.

A couple of days ago I snagged a pair of pretty red flats with a bow on from Benetton. I had been eyeing them for a while, contemplating buying them, watching them go down to 50% off, and then down to 50% of that. What a bargain!

I wore them with this outfit:

Sorry.

Gosh, I haven't blogged in a week now, but I've been so, so busy. I know that I told you several weeks ago that I was busy moving, and you'd think I was done by now... but this last week I've been packing the last few things, cleaning my old place and the new, moving and finally unpacking. It's so much work, it's unbelievable. I wouldn't say I'm quite done yet, but I'm pretty happy with the way things look, and I can relax a little. I'm going to show you soon what it looks like.

Another thing that happened this last week is that the sun finally returned after a two month absence. Crazy, I know. Though it's wonderful to have it back, have real daylight, and sunshine. I managed to take some nice pictures of the sun just above the horizon.

22nd of January.

What I did today, in pictures.

DSC04306

I woke up, and had breakfast. Barley porridge with honey, strawberry jam and soya milk. I ate barley porridge when I was in Russia on a school exchange in 2001, but I didn't know what it was then, so when I 'discovered' it again last year, I was thrilled. It's the perfect thing to eat for breakfast, especially in the winter, since it fills you up and makes you warm inside.

Then I did my make-up.
Lipstick and lipliner from Mac, dip eyeliner from Clinique, mascara from Maybelline, moisturizer from Ahava, and erase paste from Benefit.

This is what I wore. Black wool skirt, cherry top and hair band from H&M, tank underneath from American Apparel and tights from Cubus.

DSC04321
Then I made my way to uni, a 10-15 minute walk. You must think it's crazy how much snow there is here...

DSC04322
We were busy doing a project. In my group we were making a movie. It's a lot of fun.

Afterwards, I went to the gym. I hadn't been in so long, so it was really good going.

Then I came home, and made some dinner (quinoa with fried cauliflower, sugar snaps, potatoes, onion, garlic, chili, and carrot in tomato sauce. Delicious!) that I ate before going to work.

I've been working all evening and now I'm going to bed. Good night!

Lovely new tops, and a tag.

I'm working a lot these days trying to save up money as I'm going to be in southern Sweden for two months doing some work experience at a school in a few weeks from now, and I don't know what kind of possibilities I'd have there earning any money. As well as that, I'm still not done moving, which is why I'm sort of neglecting my blog these days, it seems.

Nevertheless, this morning, I had a few moments to spare in H&M, and I discovered two pretty tops that were just too lovely to pass up.

This cherry one,

and this romantic, pastel blue one:

What's more, I was tagged by the wonderful Princess Daisy, to post the fourth picture from the fourth folder on my computer... and, lo and behold, it's a picture of me and my sister from the early 90's playing dress up. I suppose it's quite obvious that I was the 'evil' older sister making my little sister wear panties on her head...

It didn't say how many people I was supposed to tag, so I'm just going to tag a few.

Animals and chocolate restaurants.

I found some pictures from my stay in Israel that I hadn't showed you, so I thought I'd do that. They're from a place that was part safari, part zoo. The safari part was really interesting, being so close to zebras and other animals. I love zoos. It's such a great, and calming experience being around all these interesting animals. Anyway, I played around with them a little, and I really like this polaroid effect.

The other pictures are from Max Brenner, a really wonderful chocolate restaurant. I wish I could eat there everyday, minus the calories, of course.

New vintage clothes.

I'm still not done moving (and it's going to take quite a bit longer, but at least I'm a little less busy right now), but as promised, I'm going to show you my new vintage finds.

This skirt:

and this dress, which I'm completely and utterly in love with. Unfortunately it's a little small, and I need help zipping it up so I'm not wearing it, but I'm sure you get the idea anyway:

I found both of them on ebay.

Today's been really nice as I've had the whole day off. I've managed to find time to tidy, go to the gym, sleep in, and go shopping a bit. I bought three DVDs; Atonement, The Darjeeling Limited (which are both two of my favourite films), and Juno (which I have yet to watch). So now I'm going to drink a cup of hot chocolate and watch one of my new DVDs before I go to bed.

I hope all of you are doing well.

Busy as a bee.

I feel a bit ashamed apologising yet again for not posting in so long. You see, I'm moving and I've been spending all of my free time in the afternoon packing, cleaning and doing all the things you have to do when you move houses. It is so incredibly stressful, and hard, but it needs to be done and hopefully the result will be satisfactory. I hope you can bear with me.

When I came home from my holiday, a pretty package with the most extraordinarily cute vintage dress, as well as a pretty vintage skirt awaited me. I'm going to try uploading pictures of them one of the following days. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!

The beach.

First of all, I apologize for not updating in four days. I'm back in Norway now, and haven't been feeling too well due to illness and missing my boyfriend. My studies have started again as well, and the weather is cold, and there is nearly a metre of snow here. I can't really bother shoveling it either, as it just seems to come back, so I just have to struggle through the snow and get my socks wet instead.

Enough complaining. One of the things that do brighten me up is looking through the pictures I took while I was in Israel. One of the last days I was there, we went to the beach during sunset, and it was marvellous.

New things I've bought in Israel.

A couple of days ago I bought the most adorable sweater, with an adorable collar, from my favourite shop in Israel, Cala. They always seem to stock the cutest retro like clothing that I like.

I also bought these shoes from Topshop. I've been wanting some white repetto zizi flats for ages, and when I came across these, I thought they were a close enough resemble, at least for now.
