Countryside

Meadow

This weekend I spent at the countryside where my late grandfather grew up - picking cloudberries, a few blueberries, visiting my godparents and reading books. I have many fond memories from this place, where I as a little girl spent a lot of time with my grandparents in their cabin. The meadow where these pictures were taken used to be one of my absolute favorite places to play when I was younger; either with animals that I would make from cones and little sticks, running around and making flower crowns or just lying amidst the straws and flowers and gazing at the sky.

Your cardigan and your dress are just adorable *-* I love how you mix those floral dresses and pastel colours. Everything is so inspirational. I really love to see your blog, it makes me want to explore a little more my girly side! Thank you (:

If this isn't the perfect outfit to wear in a beautiful meadow I don't know what is! I really like how you mixed two floral prints. The softness of the dress print and the bold print on the cardigan really compliment each other - so sweet and fun!

Isn't it grand when the most beautiful of places are linked with such fond memories? This place is surely one to be treasured always.

RE: For the last six years Erin and I have been on the same side of the country making visits easier than they had been in the past. Yes, we generally only meet up once a year, but correspond a great deal during the in-betweens. It's easier to visit in the summer when we can procure time off from work and the weather is (for the most part) cooperative. We did manage to work out two visits last year and have already been talking of a get-together or two during the autumn. We only live several hours apart, but sometimes it gets tricky planning things as life tends to get in the way. We always make the most of our time together, so the long months between visits never seem to matter much. Phew, what a long response to your simple question! ;)

I like the sweater with all the flowers blooming down the sides. I'm inspired, going to see if I can sew some appliques unto my ratty old cardigan and add daisy buttons!

Have a fantastic holiday!

That dress is beautiful, just right for frolicking in the countryside. And it pairs so perfectly with your cardigan. These shots look like they're right out of a movie! Oh, and I love the little animation you did as well. :)
