Plaid homemade dress.

Sadly, it is quite evidential that I've yet again been absent - for a week. I've been so tired every day that I have had no energy left for blogging. I've been working a lot and it's completely freezing cold both outside and quite cold inside, too. On top of that, the near-constant darkness outside has made me feel like hibernating, which is practically what I have been doing every day after work.

I have, however, found the time to almost complete the dress that I've been making at my sewing course this autumn (I didn't manage to finish it there so I've had to do bits of it at home), and I thought I'd show you it. I'm quite proud that I've made this dress myself (although I am doubtful I'd be able to do it again alone) and I can't wait to wear it. The collar needs a little fixing and I need to make a hem since the dress ended up being a lot longer than I wanted... but after that, I should be ready to go!

i can't believe you made this -- i thought it was store-bought, quite frankly. i like how the lines of the plaid coincide across the buttons. wonderful work!

Really well done Ariella, the dress is fantastic!!
I'm currently making a full skirt at my course (I'm gonna buy the fabric right this morning!). We already did a lot of other skirt styles and soon we'll be right for pants.
Top and dresses will come then and I really can't wait. I hope I'll be able to do something nice like yours, even if all those button holes are scarying me: it's silly but I hate making them with modern sewing machines!!
